Rustin Man aka Paul Webb, ehemals Bassist bei Talk Talk, hat bis dato nur eine Platte unter dem Namen Rustin Man veröffentlicht, die hervorragende Out Of Season von 2002 - eine Zusammenarbeit mit Beth Gibbons von Portishead. Das lang erwartete Album Drift Code versprüht nun eine warme Euphorie mit einem ausgeprägten Sinn für das Geschichtenerzählen.
Auf Judgement Train, dem zweiten Track aus dem Album, den Webb als "die Marx Brothers in einer Musical-Version von Apocalypse Now" beschreibt, spielt ein Mann mit Gott im Zug Poker. “He is a bit of a cheat and a chancer, confident he can outwit God to win his place in Heaven. As it develops he realises it’s not going so well and God has cunningly switched places with the devil. By the end, the guy has been out-played and realises he actually has a lot in common with the devil. I like to think it has a happy ending!”
Das Album "Drift Code" ist angekündigt für den 01. Februar 2019 und wird über Domino Recording erscheinen.
