Als ich heute morgen die Vorhänge zurückzog, fiel mein Blick auf die Waldkante am Horizont auf der Ludwigshöhe, getaucht in ein nebliges Orange, das sich in der Silhouette der Bäume in meinem Garten in ein zartes Blau in den Himmel verlor. Ein klares Zeichen, sofort die neue Chilltronica No3 zur passenden Untermalung eines entspannten Nespresso-Morgens in Darmstadt einzusetzen.

Ich hab mir die indische Kaffe-Sorte ausgesucht mit der Hoffnung auf Unterstützung bei Erleuchtung und Ruhe für den neuen Tag, ein Wunsch, den auch der erste Track auf der Compilation zu verstehen scheint. Denn der schafft es, mich mit Ambience und Klavierklängen ein ganzes Stück näher an diese Ziel zu bringen. Einen breiteren Scope als beim zweiten Teil bieten uns Blank und Jones diesmal an. Neben meditativer Schönheit bei Bliss und Antonymes finden sich typische Chill-Out Tracks mit fließendem Beat von den Herren DJs selbst, von Moby oder Cantoma. Auch die vollentspannten Lieblinge aus der Vergangenheit haben es wieder einmal passend in den Bogen der winterlichen Compilation geschafft: diesmal sind es Mazzy Star aus den Neunzigern und The Cure aus den frühen Achtzigern, die aus dem Indie-Lager zuliefern dürfen. Gerade ‚All Cats Are Grey’ überrascht durch exaktes Fitting in einer Electronica-Compilation. Bliss liefern diesmal den Coup der Zusammenstellung mit ‚Sleep Will Come’, das zunächst mit klassischem Streicherensemble traurig berührt um dann in einen melancholischen Part überzugehen, der mit Akkordeon und leichtem Rhythmus winterliche Balkan-Romantik versprüht. Zum Abschluss haben Blank and Jones dann noch ‚Homesick’, einen weiteren Cure Song aus der düsteren Disintegration-Phase in eine beruhigende Ballade verwandelt, der wie schimmernder Schnee in der Sonne eine ganz besondere Magie versprüht!

Zum dritten Mal offenbart sich hier die Kunst, Tracks geschmeidig und schlüssig zusammenzustellen und löst dabei auch das minimale Problem der Gleichförmigkeit des zweiten Teils auf, der durch die Auswahl mehrere Tracks von einer Band entstand. Der Winterwald auf dem Cover ist bezeichnend für die Stimmung, für den Gedanken hinter Chilltronica No3. So macht die kalte Jahreszeit Spaß.
